Northeast Film Series Presents “Le Grand Voyage”

Logan Park Neighborhood Association presents “Le Grand Voyage,” a 2004 film by French-Moroccan film director Ismael Ferroukhi.

“Le Grand Voyage” is the second film in LPNA’s Northeast Film Series: Celebrating the Multicultural Identity of Northeast. It comes just weeks after the Mizna Twin Cities Arab Film Festival.

The film follows a devout elderly Moroccan on his pilgrimage to Mecca, reluctantly accompanied by his irreligious young son who does the driving. In the beginning, the two are divided, but during the course of a 3,000 mile, cross-continental journey, they come to know and understand each other.

The film is in Arabic and French with English subtitles, and runs for 108 minutes.
