I AM MPLS creator Sarah Edwards wears a lot of hats these days. The self described “Content Maker, Innovative Event Producer and Creative Strategist”has made it her mission to promote the creative arts community of the Twin Cities. The first of her three upcoming events-I AM MPLS was held December 4th in the mainroom of Minneapolis’s acclaimed First Avenue. The MC was 89.3 The Current’s Barb Abney who ironically proclaimed herself as the “least fashionable person ever” but as usual was full of charm as she introduced Greg Coleman and Jeff Pfoser, who performed entertaining back to back routines. GREYCOATS Album Release show January 26


On January 26, GREYCOATS will celebrate the release of their new album, “World of Tomorrow.” This unique show at The Ritz Theater will also showcase a dozen local visual artists who were invited to create a piece in response to each song on the album. Throughout the band’s set, art will be revealed “creating a unique experience of artistic collaboration and interpretation.” Featured artists include: Gary Wolfe, Andy Ducett, Andy Sturdevant, Jennifer Davis, Miles Mendenhall, Adam Turman, Jessica Ashley Nelson, Braden Lee, Nathan Schroeder, Bethany Birnie, Willie Willete and Caitlin Karolczak. Opening music includes All Eyes, John Mark Nelson and Ben Rosenbush (of the Brighton).
